How Time Flies

It’s been almost two years since I created my website and started writing these blogs. Can you believe it? How time flies. My first blog was published on May 14, 2024. During that two-year period, I’ve written a total of 279 blogs (including this one). I’m currently averaging nearly 252 readers of each blog I release. Over those two years, I’ve reached thousands of people.

Although those numbers may be considered small for some bloggers, it’s pretty amazing to me. I don’t advertise or market my blog, so that means people are subscribers, are stumbling upon them via search engines, or have learned about my blogs through current readers.

I also need to give some credit to MGFA (Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America). They have featured a few of my blogs in their magazine and online advertising. I seem to see a spike in readers after one of my blogs has been featured by MGFA, so I very much appreciate their recognition and assistance.

I plan to continue blogging for as long as I have readers and as long as I’m able. As I’ve told you before, not only do I get the satisfaction of helping others, but writing my blogs is therapeutic for me. Sometimes trying to encourage others can result in encouragement for yourself.

From time to time, I receive comments or emails from readers, all of whom have been very kind. Sometimes they come from someone who is struggling and I’m able to offer encouragement when it’s needed the most. These comments and emails confirm that it’s all worthwhile and my blogs are helping.  There have been times when I’ve had to shut down the comment section due to spam, but I’ve been able to install some additional protection that is helping to prevent this.

I’ve made numerous friends through my blogs. Some of those friends have shared their fight with Myasthenia Gravis. Some are people that are helping support and take care of someone who has it. I’ve tried to include some of the tips they’ve provided in my blogs as many are quite helpful.

The biggest thing I’ve learned from writing these blogs is I’m not alone in my battle with MG and that’s the message I try to convey to others. You’re not alone. Many of us with MG are willing and able to help, whether it be in encouragement, suggestions, or just by being a good listener. That’s why I encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out.

As an individual with MG, I’ve found that establishing goals and pursuing a mission gives me strength. I’ve learned that Sharing is Caring and this blog gives me a means with which to do that. I’m not going to lie, at times it’s been a burden, but a burden with a purpose. It’s allowed me to touch lives, help others, and help myself. Every single time I utter encouragement to you, I receive it in return. That’s why I do it. That’s why it’s worthwhile.

So, thank you for two wonderful years of your kindness, your friendship, your comments and your emails. Please continue reading and also continue sharing your comments and emails. If you don’t feel comfortable leaving a comment, feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. I’d love to hear from you.

Together we are #MGStrong.
