Special Weather Statement

I’m going to temporarily interrupt my “A Bit of Yourself” series due to the weather approaching our area.

Tropical Storm Francine seems to be building into hurricane strength and will approach our area by Wednesday morning. At this time, it’s expected to be a Category 2 hurricane when it makes landfall in Louisiana.

With a storm of this intensity, it’s probable that we’ll lose power and maybe even cell phone service. Although we have a portable generator, we may not have access to the internet.

I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you don’t see any new blog posts for a while.

We are prepared. My wife and I are intending to ride it out. If we lose power and it appears it will be some time before power can be restored, we may temporarily go elsewhere, but we’ll cross that bridge if and when we come to it.

I ask for your prayers for us and all the people that may be affected by this storm. God is with us, but your prayers are powerful and will definitely help.

I hope to be back up and writing again soon.
